Help make Annandale Pyramid Back-to-School Resource Fair a success
Volunteers are desperately needed to help make the second annual Annandale Pyramid Back-to-School Resource Fair a success. The fair takes place Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2-7 p.m., at Annandale High School. More than 10,000 students and family members are invited.
Fair organizers are putting out an urgent call for volunteers—adults and
students—to help out during the fair and also to help get it set up on
Thursday and Friday of this week and Monday and Tuesday next week
(Aug. 7, 8, 11, and 12). Sign up online, and spread the word.
This hugely popular event is intended to get students excited about the start of the school year and ensure that they are prepared for success. Children will be given free school supplies, haircuts, medical screenings, and back-to-school clothes. Their parents will have an opportunity to learn about all sorts of resources from county agencies and community organizations.
Families from all schools in the Annandale High School pyramid are encouraged to come. This project represents a tremendous investment in the community’s disadvantaged and underserved students.
