Hidden Oaks Nature Center offers summer camp programs for kids

Still looking for a summer program for your kids? The Hidden Oaks Nature Center (7701 Royce St., in Annandale) still has a few spots left in its nature camps.

Earthkeepers Camp, July 7-9, is all about exploring woods and watersheds, learning about the environment, restoring habitats, and making crafts from recyclables. It’s for children ages 6-10. It takes place Wednesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The cost is $105 (code #308-222-4901).

At Nature in Flight Camp, kids learn about animal flight through games, crafts, and hikes—and get to care for and take home their own insect. This camp is offered in two sessions: July 12-16 for ages 4-7 (code #308-222-6601) and July 19-23 for ages 6-10 (code #308-222-6701). Both sessions are $170 and are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
