High schools allow 25 spectators at home games

Fairfax County high schools have begun allowing up to 25 spectators at sports events. That policy is in line with guidelines from the Virginia Department of Health.

An email from Annandale High School says fans are allowed to attend varsity home basketball games and wrestling meets.

Each AHS game will have a maximum of 25 fans in attendance, and spectators must have a ticket. Each athlete will receive one or two tickets for family or friends. For those who can’t attend in person, the games will be livestreamed on the Annandale Atoms YouTube channel.

Justice and Falls Church high schools put out similar messages to their communities.

The Justice activities office says wrestling and basketball coaches will bar anyone not on a list of registrants. Attendance will be free.

Spectators will be screened with temperature checks and will be required to wear face masks. Athletes have to wear masks during games, practices, and workouts except those in wrestling, gymnastics, and swimming.
