Fairfax County police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 22, at around 2 a.m., in the 3700 block of North Rosser Street in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County,
According to a police bulletin, a 24-year-old Maryland man told police he was sleeping in a bedroom when he was awoken by three men who demanded money. Two of the men had handguns. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry, and electronics. There was also a 45-year-old Alexandria man in the house at the time. Neither victim was injured.
The suspects were all described as black, between 25 and 30 years old. They ranged in height from 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall and weighed between 160 and 175 pounds. As the suspects fled, the younger victim reported hearing a female voice that appeared to be with them, but he did not see her. Detectives do not believe this is a random crime.

Home invasions are increasing rapidly. These thugs know that there is less of a chance getting caught burglarizing a home then robbing businesses.
So stay safe, be vigilant, install deadbolts and keep alarm activated. If you don't have an alarm system try the United States Security Company Directory or USSCD for great affordable home security options.

By letting these dozens of small crimes go unsolved. no prevention. No patrols in the neighborhoods at night, no alarms to the public, the police are inviting more and more serious crimes.(it is called the :broken window syndrome" crimes just escalate and get more numerous and serious.
Oh, I forgot– we do not have any crime to speak of in Mason district- so says our recently moved police chief. (He went to the Major Crime division).
Nope. No crime here.
Would like to know how earlier commenter knows there are no patrols in the neighborhoods at night…have you checked personally into this?
