Jackson MS has a new principal

Michael Magliola has been named principal of Luther Jackson Middle School.

During the past four years, Magliola was an assistant principal in the San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento, Calif.
Magliola invites parents to meet-and-greet sessions at
Jackson on July 25, 5-7 p.m., and at the Graham Road Community Center on Aug. 1,
5-7 p.m.

“I am honored to have been
selected to join this amazing school and I look forward to partnering with you
to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and high-quality middle
school experience,” Magliola wrote in an email to the Jackson community. “I am
committed to ensuring our students develop essential skills necessary for
navigating this rapidly changing, increasingly diverse, and interconnected
world.”

students and helping them achieve to their fullest potential,” he says. “I am
committed to listening, collaborating and learning to ensure our students are
prepared for high school, college, and 21st-century careers.”
