The fast-growing chain has 1,210 locations in 43 states. There
are 20 in Virginia, including Merrifield and Springfield.

Mike’s Subs opened in 1956 on the Jersey Shore. CEO Peter Cancro, who worked there while in high school, bought the shop in 1971. He changed
the name to Jersey Mike’s Subs, expanded to more locations, and eventually built
it up into a national chain.

wow. with classics like Kilroys and Dairy Queen, and new-comers Anita's and Jersey Mike's, Ravensworth has become my favorite strip mall. (JM is SO much better than Subway.)
