K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot coming to Seven Corners
This building has been empty since Fortune closed in 2019. |
A K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot restaurant is coming to the
building formerly occupied by the Fortune restaurant in the Seven Corners
Shopping Center.
The building, at 6249 Seven Corners Center, is going through
a total renovation. The work is just getting started, but Leeann Feltman, property manager with
the B.F. Saul Co., hopes the new restaurant could open in six months.

There’s a K-Pot restaurant in Rockville, Md., and three in
New Jersey. Diners who order a hot pot can choose among a variety of soup
base, meat, seafood, noodle, and vegetable options.
The same group developing K-Pot is opening a Hook & Reel
seafood restaurant at 3539 S. Jefferson St., in Leesburg Pike Plaza, in
Bailey’s Crossroads.

The Hook & Reel chain has 19 locations across the
country, including four in Maryland, and many more in the pipeline.

The Seven Corners Center is negotiating leases to replace
two closed stores, Dress Barn and Payless ShoeSource, Feltman says, but isn’t
ready to announce the new tenants.

Hope the K-Pot folks negotiated well as the building is in need of a lot of “deferred maintenance upgrades” and the landlord was not willing to undertake them when approached in the past.
