Korean chicken restaurant coming to Annandale
A new Korean chicken restaurant called Choong Man Chicken is set to open in Annandale the first or second week of September at 7133B Tom Davis Drive, in the space formerly occupied by Pho Loc.
The menu includes crispy fried chicken topped with onions and fried then baked chicken called “tikkudak” with garlic soy, hot pepper, or curry sauce. The restaurant will have beer on tap and also bottles of beer and soju.
The interior has been completely redone, with a color scheme of orange and dark wood and new lighting.
Choong Man is a franchise company based in Korea. Its first location in the United States opened in March 2017 on H Street in D.C. Since then, Choong Man restaurants opened in Centreville and Fairfax.

I sure wish Annandale had more Celiac Friendly restaurants to choose from. Currently I can only go to Silverado or Duck Chang's. Silverado is great tasting but … who can afford to go there often? Duck Chang's does a great job too, but … it would just be nice to have more choices.

There are many ways to embody variety, and as someone whose in-law family is full of different nutritional needs (and a few very picky eaters), man, oh man, do we have to work sometimes to find one place that can serve us all!
