What the heck is this? Has the blog run out of good material to publish?
As it says, it’s a paid legal notice. We’ll never run out of good material.
I love the Annandale Blog! Keep up the good work!
This legal notice publication impacts the perceived integrity of the blog and is troubling to its readers. I am certain there are other commercial ads the blog can solicit to help fund its existence while keeping the readership from jumping ship.
Seems no different than a classified ad.
exactly. it was very clearly labeled a paid advertisement.
some people don’t have anything better to do than complain.
No disrespect to the Annandale Blog, but this hardly seems like an acceptable place for a public notice.
That’s more the law firm’s call as to how it spends its clients funds, isn’t it?
In some instances where the person you are suing is otherwise not reachable, you are required to publish notices in local publications. They’re just doing what they’re supposed to do.
I guess I expect better from the Blog. It has always been an outstanding blog site that focused on community issues for Mason District and its surrounds. This legal notice nonsense is not in keeping with its mission.
May as well just start selling porn!
So often people are not notified adequately that there is a legal matter pending according to Pew Trust. The more notice the better the individual and public is served
