Libraries to close on Sundays and Mondays

All Fairfax County libraries will be closed on Sundays and Mondays starting this Sunday, Jan. 16, and running through April 1.

That includes George Mason Regional Library in Annandale, Thomas Jefferson Library in Falls Church, and Woodrow Wilson Library in Bailey’s Crossroads.

The schedule change is being done because of the surge in Covid cases, resulting in a high level of absences among library staff.

Libraries will be open Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Fairfax County Public Libraries urges the public to look for e-books and e-audiobooks on the Libby app and explore other ways to access library resources at home.
