Library book sale starts next week

The George Mason Friends’ big book sale is May 19-22 at George Mason Regional Library in Annandale, 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. each day.

Books on sale range from mysteries to biographies, graphic novels to cookbooks, fiction to art books, and much more. There will be plenty of children’s books, as well as audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs.

The display cases in the lobby have rare and unique collectibles and special editions of children’s books

Proceeds from the book sale support the Fairfax County Library Summer Reading Program, George Mason Regional Library programs, the Fall for the Book Festival, and Fairfax County Library Foundation Scholarships.

Credit and debit cards are preferred.

Ciome early for the best selection and come back Sunday for half-price bargains.

      The point is that we are too poor to purchase discretionary items inexpensive as used books, thanks to the Fed’s printing machine. Also macaroni is delicious and packs them empty calories so you and your roommates can survive the trying times ahead. Get that bulk macaroni on eBay if you can outbid me *unlikely*. I’m swimming in space bucks as I’ve limited used book purchases to nearly zero. Accordingly my closet is laden with garbage bags full of premium unleaded gasoline and myriad pastas with desiccant packs. All I need is chewing gum and matches and I’m ready for the imminent collapse. Have a great week!
