Library systems lists most popular books
The most popular title circulating at the Fairfax County Library is an e-book set in a fantasy library – The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
The FCPL reports the top print titles of 2022 are:
- Adult fiction: The Judge’s List by John Grisham
- Adult nonfiction: Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner
- Teen: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
- Children: Fetch-22; Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey
The top electronic titles:
- eBook: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
- eAudiobook: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
- eMagazine: The Economist
For the seventh year in a row, FCPL has ranked among a handful of public libraries with more than 2 million digital checkouts for the year. The library system is on track to record just over 10 million loans overall for 2022.
The FCLP has a growing collection of items in its “library of things” that can be checked out, including artwork, binoculars, board games, book discussion kits, nature backpacks, and more.
