Local business robbed at gunpoint

The Fairfax County Police Department lists several crimes that occurred in Mason District during the past few days. A commercial robbery occurred at a 7-11 on the 3300 block of Gallows Road in Annandale at about 12:34 p.m. on July 31

The suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money, and ran off in an unknown direction. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a mask.

At about 5:14 on July 31, police located a stolen vehicle stopped at a red light by the Lincolnia Road/N. Chambliss Street intersection. Police discovered the vehicle had been stolen in Florida, and the occupants were taken into custody. Rose Rotondo, 63, of Vienna, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Nicholas Olson, 19, of Vienna, was arrested at about 7 a.m. Aug. 2 in the 7100 block of Strathmore Street in Falls Church and charged with grand larceny, trespassing, and possession of marijuana. A resident discovered Olson, who had previously been banned from the house, sleeping on her porch.
