Lions Club selling citrus fruit on Saturday

The Falls Church – Annandale Lions Club will be selling fresh navel oranges, grapefruits, juice oranges, mandarin oranges, and other items Saturday, Dec. 17, in the parking lot at the Annandale Swim and Tennis Club, 7530 Little River Turnpike, Annandale.

The Lions will be there at 8:15 a.m. and will stay until everything is sold.

The fruit is $45 a case (40 pounds), $25 for half a case, and $16 for a quarter case.The Lions are also selling Vermont maple syrup ($21 for a quart, $12 for a pint, and $7 for a half pint); White House Christmas tree ornaments ($23), bean soup mix ($5), and Lions Club cookbooks ($5).

Visitors are encouraged to bring canned food donations for needy families. Falls Church – Annandale Lions Club programs include eyeglass recycling, eye exams, new glasses for those in need, and sight and hearing tests. The club also supports college scholarships, youth sports, and environmental education.
