LongHorn Steakhouse in Bailey’s Crossroads opens Monday

The new LongHorn Steakhouse in Bailey’s Crossroads officially
opens for dinner Monday, May 16, at 4 p.m. There will be a ribbon-cutting
ceremony at 2 p.m. that day. The restaurant is at 3562 S. Jefferson Street, across
Leesburg Pike from the Skyline Center.

“At LongHorn, we pride ourselves on our fresh, never frozen,
expertly grilled and boldly seasoned steaks,” says company spokesperson
Vanessa Tostes. “We’re also proud of our friendly service and restaurant
atmosphere, which celebrates the natural beauty of the American West.”

The menu features a variety of steaks, like the bone-in “outlaw
rib eye,” grilled chicken, marinated salmon, and slow-roasted baby back ribs. Entrees come with a hand-chopped salad, freshly baked honey-wheat
bread, and a side dish, such as mac and cheese.
There are also seasonal specials. Items on the summer menu
include a fried green tomato appetizer, pepper-crusted filet and shrimp,
grilled Hawaiian salmon, grilled corn on the cob, a beefsteak tomato and bacon
salad, roasted tomato basil soup, and mixed berry lava cake.
The “prime time”
menu, available 4-7 p.m. on weekdays, includes a variety of $3, $4, and $5
drinks and appetizers.
The new 6,275-square foot restaurant has seating for 240
guests and has about 90 employees. It’s open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through
Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

right way, through fundraising efforts, donations, and grants that benefit
local organizations and causes.
As part of LongHorn’s pre-opening training period, the
restaurant will host Friends & Family events with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington
The LongHorn chain is owned by Darden Restaurants Inc. The Bailey’s Crossroads restaurant is the fourth LongHorn Steakhouse in Northern Virginia. The others are in Chantilly, Manassas, and Dulles.
