Lots of children’s activities planned for the Taste of Annandale
The Taste of Annandale will feature a full schedule of performances and activities for children hosted by the ACCA Child Development Center.
The Taste of Annandale is a free family-friendly community festival on April 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tom Davis Drive.
The Child Development Center is at 7200 Columbia Pike, across the street from the main action at the Taste of Annandale.
CDC Executive Director Maria Isabel Ballivian is planning three children’s performances: a puppet show, a musician, and a science show.
There will be a DJ, storybook readings hosted by the Fairfax County Public Library, a karaoke station, face painting, temporary tattoos, costumed characters, and other activities. The Kids page on the Taste of Annandale website will have more information as the schedule is finalized.
If the weather is nice, children can use the playground and build things with CDC’s giant blue blocks outdoors.
Parents are expected to stay with their children at the CDC.
The CDC also needs volunteers to help handle the crowd. If you would like to help, sign up here.
