Man arrested for library assault

Mason District Police announced Dec. 13 that detectives have arrested a man in connection with the Nov. 7 assault at Thomas Jefferson Library in Falls Church.

Kevin Lee Porter, 31, of no fixed address, was charged with abduction Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. at his work site in the 3000 block of Gatehouse Plaza. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond.

The assault incident involved a 17-year-old girl who called police after the suspect followed her into the library restroom and pushed her. He fled after she kicked him and screamed.
