Man arrested for reckless discharge
Fairfax County police arrested a man for recklessly discharging a gun in a Lincolnia neighborhood. No one was injured.
Officers responded to the 6400 block of Montrose Street at 1 p.m. on Jan. 17 for the report of gunshots. The incidence happened near Holmes Middle School.
They found evidence of a gun being discharged and determined the suspect lived nearby. They went to the suspect’s resident but he refused to come out. After brief negotiations, Erick Agustin, 30, was taken into custody.
Agustin sustained injuries from a K9 bite and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He was then taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with reckless handling of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school, obstruction of justice, and reckless driving. He has since been released.
