Man arrested for reckless driving, child endangerment, weapons
The Fairfax County Police Department’s weekly crime report
includes an incident in Annandale involving a vehicle pursuit, weapons
violation, and child endangerment.
Officers noticed a 1996 Honda Accord being driven recklessly
at about 2:30 a.m., April 12, on Backlick Road at Braddock Road. The driver refused
to stop, resulting in a pursuit.
After several miles, the
car was stopped by officers, and the driver, a convicted felon, was taken into
custody. A gun and ammunition were found inside the car. Tyson Rascher, 23, of
Springfield, was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, felon in
possession of ammunition, eluding, and reckless driving.
Three juveniles were in the car during the pursuit, so Rascher
was also charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a
minor.
There was a commercial burglary at the Tobacco King store at
6649 Arlington Blvd. at 2 a.m. on April 11. Someone forced entry into the
building and took property.
