Everyone deserves their day in court, but sick people like this should be removed from communities and society. All the laws our legislature comes up with but they don’t change the “insanity” defense. It should be GUILTY by reason of insanity or mental cause, not innocent. The crime or damage happens, the person should have a record and as appropriate removed from society and when possible treatment or if not containment.
