Man assaulted and robbed
Fairfax County Police report a robbery occurred Aug. 9 at Lake and Tyler streets near
Lake Barcroft and the Woodrow Wilson Library. The victim was walking at about 1:30 a.m. when he was approached and pushed to the
ground by an unknown male who took his wallet. There was a brief struggle. The
suspect produced a “cutting instrument” and fled on foot. The victim received
non-life-threatening injuries to his hand. The suspect was described as
Hispanic and about 5 feet, 3 inches tall. Anyone with
