Man injured in shooting at Annandale apartments

Police respond to a shooting at Fairmont Gardens. [Oscar Martinez]

There was a shooting at the Fairmont Gardens apartments
in Annandale shortly before 11 p.m. on May 18. Officers from the Mason Police District found a man had been shot
outside an apartment in the 4200 block of Wadsworth Court and a bullet entered
an apartment, causing property damage.

The victim was taken to a
hospital for an injury that was not life-threatening, the Fairfax County Police Department reports. The suspect was described
as a man wearing dark clothing. 

According to the police,
this incident was not accidental or random, and a criminal investigation
is being conducted.
