Man shoots fox from living room window

An Annandale man was arrested April 9 for using a rifle to shoot a fox in his backyard from his living room window, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

Officers responded to the 7300 block of Byrneley Lane in the Wilburdale neighborhood at about 8:13 p.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Henry Brown, 80, was released on a summons for reckless handling of a firearm.

On April 7, police officers were called to the 7800 block of Sutter Lane, Annandale, near Braddock Elementary School, at about 11:45 p.m. for a report of a naked man walking around outside screaming and yelling.

Osmane Bah, 28, of Annandale, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, drunk in public, indecent exposure, and obstruction of justice.

There were a couple of commercial burglaries in Annandale last weekend. The cleaners at 4425 John Marr Drive was broken into at some point between 7:30 p.m. April 7 and 3:30 p.m. on April 8 and items were reported missing.

The Hong Beauty Salon at 7004D Little River Turnpike was burglarized between 7:30 p.m. on April 6 and 8 a.m. April 7. Money and merchandise were taken.
