Fairfax County Police are investigating a shooting near Little River Turnpike and Pinecrest Heights Drive in Annandale Dec. 1.
According to reports from NBC News Channel 4 and WJLA Channel 7, a man was rushed to Fairfax Hospital with after police found him with gunshot wounds to the abdomen in the 6700 block of Little River Turnpike at about 9 p.m. He had apparently crawled for a distance along a service road.
The victim is a 26-year-old resident of Annandale, says police spokesperson Roger Henriquez. His condition was initially reported as life-threatening and later upgraded to non-life threatening.
Police believe the shooting might have stemmed from an argument, as witness heard screaming and profanity before the shooting.
The suspect is believe to be a woman about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 to 130 pounds, with blond hair. She apparently knows the victim but the relationship is unclear, says Henriquez.
A witness said she heard “two gunshots and saw a woman standing over a man’s body kicking and screaming at him,” WJLA states. “That woman and another man then allegedly got into what she believes is a white-colored vehicle and drove off.”
Police are searching for a white sedan, possibly a Honda, last seen heading westbound on Little River Turnpike, Henriquez says.
