Man stabbed in Bailey’s Crossroads
A was stabbed in the upper body as he was standing outside a
business in the 3800 block of S. George Mason Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads shortly
after midnight on April 20, the Fairfax County Police Department reports. He
was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
There was a reckless discharge of a firearm incident shortly
before 5 p.m. on April 17 in the 4700 block of Americana Drive in Annandale. A
man was seen exchanging words with the occupants of a car. The man began
shooting at the car as it drove away. Two unoccupied cars were damaged by
bullets, and police officers recovered cartridge casings at the scene. No injuries
were reported.
On April 20, an officer attempted to stop a stolen 2019 Ford
Fusion at about 3:40 a.m. in the 6800 block of Cherry Lane in Annandale. The
driver refused to stop, resulting in a brief pursuit. The driver then attempted
to run away but was caught nearby.
Daniel Speare, 39, of New Jersey, was charged with grand
larceny, reckless driving, and speed to elude.
