Marky’s Munchery offers comfort food at Annandale Home Depot
For hungry people uncomfortable about eating inside restaurants or tired of ordering carryout, Marky’s Munchery offers an alternative.
It’s a food truck that’s been stationed in the parking lot at the Annandale Home Depot on Little River Turnpike for the past year and a half. There are a few tables, so people can enjoy a meal outdoors.
Specialties at Marky’s Munchery include bacon-wrapped hot dogs, loaded burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Philly cheesesteaks, says owner Marky Ensour.
Originally from Jordan, Ensour has an extensive background in restaurants and learned how to provide outstanding customer service working in corporate aviation. He borrowed ideas for street food from his global travels.
He says the COVID-19 pandemic has drawn people “from brick-and-mortar restaurants to guys like us.”
Good to see Marky getting recognition on here, he is a delight! He's great at engaging the customer and maintaining the conversation while cooking. The burgers and the Steak n Cheese I've had were great.
I wish this would be open on weekends or for dinner during the week, then I'd try it.
