Middle Eastern eatery opens in Seven Corners

Hamza & Madina is located between Mattress Warehouse and the Post Office at the Seven Corners shopping center.

Hamza & Madina Halal Food is now open in the Seven Corners Center.

The eatery offers $10.99 platters featuring chicken, lamb, fish, kofta, or falafel over rice or salad.

A mural greets customers inside Hamza & Madina.

Other menu items include gyros, burgers, chicken sandwiches, burritos, Philly cheesesteaks, falafel, wings, cheese fries, baklava, and sweet potato pie.

The eatery is designed for takeout; there are just two tables inside.

Franchise owner Idris Mashriqi started with a food cart in Queens, New York, about 10 years ago and now runs 10 Hamza & Madina restaurants in New York and New Jersey. This is the first one in the DMV, says manager Fattah Kaium.
