More than 50 National Night Out events held in Mason District

Homeowner and civic associations, apartment complexes, and other community groups hosted neighborhood gatherings Aug 7 for National Night Out, many of them drawing representatives from local police and fire departments.

There were more than 50 potlucks, barbecues, and ice cream socials in Mason District. National Night Out promotes crime prevention by encouraging neighbors to get to know one another.
