New AAA store to open next month
The AAA store in Seven Corners is on the site of a long-vacant chain restaurant. |
The new AAA store in Seven Corners is expected to open around Aug. 19, says Thomas Calcagni, director of public and government affairs for AAA’s metropolitan D.C. region.
The 7,200-square foot facility – at the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Wilson Boulevard – will have 10 bays for car repairs, as well as insurance agents and travel services.
It will be a one-stop shop where customers can take care of a variety of needs, such as getting vacation advice while waiting for an oil change, says Calcagni.
The Car Care Center will provide everything from tire rotations to engine and transmission replacements, he says. AAA members will get a 10 percent discount on the cost of labor. In addition. AAA offers a 24-month/24,000-mile warranty and a free maintenance inspection upon request with any paid service.
The center will have a full-service travel agency, where you can book a cruise and apply for an international driver’s license, for example – as well as get advice on road trips, one of the original services of the American Automobile Association. The store will sell travel books, maps, and directories of hotels and motels with ratings by AAA inspectors.
