New Annandale burger restaurant could open in early January

Dice Burger, the new eagerly anticipated restaurant at 7023 Columbia Pike,
Annandale, could open as soon as the first week of January, says owner Saeid
Sanaei.

He’s been refining the menu, which will include various
kinds of burgers, including two kinds of veggie burgers (steamed and fried)
plus several kinds of soup (chicken noodle, creamy mushroom, and chicken
barley). Beer and wine will be added later after his application for a license
to sell alcohol is approved.

What makes the burgers special is the use of a wood-burning
oven, Sanaei says. In another innovative twist, customers will have a chance to
roll dice, and will get a free meal if they roll a 12. For people concerned
about earlier reports that the restaurant will have a hookah bar, he says that
will only be outside at night in the warmer months.

  1. Yum and welcome! How large is the restaurant? Do we need to dress up? How did he think of dice? Why 12? What made him choose Annandale?

  2. Looking forward to the opening of Annandale's first real burger joint. Of course there's Jukebox around the corner, but that doesn't really count since you have to sit down with a menu … never mind all the grease traps on 236. Here's hoping Dice does better than, uh, everything else that's ever been at that location.
