New Annandale shop features a mix of fashion and home decor
A new shop in Annandale, Elegant Snob, offers carefully curated furniture, art, clothing, and accessories.
“Snob” stands for “something new, old, and beautiful,” says owner Fruwah Chapman. She describes the style as modern eclectic.
The shop is located on the first floor of an office building at 7620 Little River Turnpike, next to Wells Fargo Bank.
The items in the store come from Fruwah’s work as a real estate agent. She collects furniture and décor for styling homes for sale.
“I buy way too many things and have too many storage units,” she says. “I love shopping,” but with the store, “I can continue my bad habit and make some good out of it.”
A former designer for Diane von Furstenberg, Fruwah relocated from New York City to the D.C. area after marrying a military man. She misses the world of fashion but plans to produce some clothing designs, along with throw pillows and bed covers, for the new shop.
She invites artists and teachers to host pop-ups or classes at Elegant Snob. For more information, contact her at [email protected].

Thank you for choosing Annandale! I can’t wait to stop by.
I wonder if I have seen some of her pieces for sale on Facebook Marketplace as I was looking for home furnishings…looks like a similar location to the items I was eyeing! I will look forward to checking out the shop very soon. Good luck and wishes for success!
Love, love, love this! As an interior designer, I can’t wait to shop here 💐
Elegant Snob shopping is “by appointment” except for four hours a week?? What’s up with that?
