New Annandale store specializes in healing ‘soil beds’ from Korea

Various styles of “soil beds” at Healing Nara.

A new store, Healing Nara, expected to open this month at 7331
Little River Turnpike, specializes in heated Korean beds and couches with pads made
with soil containing minerals that are supposed to be good for one’s
health.

A pile of soil bed pads.
Sleeping on these beds will give you better dreams and you’ll
wake up refreshed and energized, says the store’s manager, Gilyoung Park.
Typical prices are $5,500 for a queen bed and $4,500 for a
couch. If that’s too much, you can get a queen-size pad made with soil for $3,600 or a twin-size pad for $2,600. The store also has massage chairs and “magma
lava stone” healing bracelets said to reduce one’s blood pressure. The storefront used to be occupied by Mansoo Health.

  1. Quick someone contact the FDA. Looks like a marketing scam to me. Where is the disclaimer that the bed or bracelet can "diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease,"
