New bank opens at Pinecrest Plaza

This bank was built on the site of a former gas station.

The new TD Bank that opened at Pinecrest Plaza Sept. 23 focuses on customer service and convenience, says manger Ali Nahim.

The bank, at 6566 Little River Turnpike, offers 24/7 live customer service, checking and savings accounts, commercial accounts, mortgage and home equity loans, lines of credit, online and mobile banking, and safety deposit boxes.

It has more parking than the TD Bank further west on Little River Turnpike in Annandale, and while it’s open six days a week, the TD branches on Van Dorn Street, which Nahim also manages, and Annandale are open on Sundays.

The Pinecrest TD is open 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. It has a drive-through ATM, lounge for kids, and restrooms labeled “gender neutral.”

The new bank is running special deals for new customers through Oct. 23, including a $50 bonus for opening a new checking account, a $150 bonus for opening a TD Convenience Checking account, and a $300 bonus for a new TD Premier Checking or TD Relationship Checking account. There are minimum deposit requirements for all of those specials.

    1. Be thankful your lucky starts its not a TitleMax. Its not like high end retailers are breaking down doors to be in the Dump.

  1. I don't understand the "do we need another bank" line of thinking. The entity sees a market for it, otherwise it wouldn't spend the time and money to open a branch. It is the owner/operator taking the risk and likely having done research which has determined the decision to open the bank. That said, more banks mean more competition for the consumer.
