New principal named for Glen Forest Elementary School

Diane (Dee Dee) Herndon-Wilson has been named the new principal at Glen Forest Elementary School in Bailey’s Crossroads. 

Herndon-Wilson is currently serving as the assistant principal of Lowes Island Elementary School in Loudoun County. Before that, she was an administrative intern at that school and at Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Loudoun County. 

During her tenure as an assistant principal, Herndon-Wilson supervised special education, ESOL, and advanced academic programs in grades K-6.  

She earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies at Radford University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from George Mason University.
