New stores at Landmark Plaza
Several new shops have recently opened or are coming to the Plaza at Landmark in Lincolnia.
America’s Best Wings opened in late January at 6244-E Little River Turnpike in the spot formerly occupied by GNC.
The shop offers 33 flavors of buffalo wings, says co-owner Ahad Ali. Some of the popular varieties include garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, 24 carat gold (with a tangy, spicy sauce made in-house), moon dust (dry rub), nuclear (super hot), and honey barbecue.
Also on the menu: crispy fried chicken, Philly steak and cheese, Cajun corn, fried and grilled shrimp, fried and grilled fish, salads, and more.
There are about 120 America’s Best Wings locations in the U.S. This is the first one in Northern Virginia.
The Red Crab seafood restaurant is expected to open in March in the spot formerly occupied by Win Buffet.
Red Crab is a chain that specializes in seafood boils. Diners choose their seafood (crab, lobster tail, shrimp, and more), seasoning (Cajun, lemon pepper, or garlic butter), and spice level.
There are locations throughout the eastern half of the U.S. but none in the D.C. region. The closest one is in Fredericksburg, Va.
Jollibee’s, a fast-food restaurant from the Philippines, is also shooting for a March opening. It’s going into the stand-alone sport on N. Beauregard Street formerly occupied by Boston Market. The opening has been delayed due to supply chain issues, says Fred Cornett, senior vice president of HHH Properties Corp.
The Joint Chiropractic, next door to America’s Best Wings, is planning a grand opening on March 9.
Potential customers can sign up for a free consultation, exam, and adjustment. The Joint is a franchise health facility that’s open nights and weekends and accepts walk-ins. It’s going in the former Avail Vapor spot.
A national athletic shoe store is coming to the former Gussini Shoes spot, Cornett says, and the SunTrust bank branch will close.
Krave Eatery, a fast-casual restaurant offering Afghan items, as well as American burgers and sandwiches, opened at Landmark Plaza a few months ago, as did Lacrosse Unlimited. The lacrosse shop relocated from the Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria.
I highly recommend Krave. The falafel and gyro sandwiches are giant and delicious.
Just tried Krave on your recommendation. Had the filet kabob with spinach & eggplant sides. Wonderful! And relatively inexpensive too so far.
Thanks for updating us Ellie! It all sounds delish.
I went to America’s Best Wings and tried their Philly Sub with 5pc Wings Combo, Thai Chili Flavor. Both wings and the sub were THE BEST IN TOWN! 😋
I’m glad to know about these food places that are and will be at Landmark!!
Based on this article and recommendations, my wife and I tried Krave this week and we agree with prior comments. This fast casual reasonably-priced restaurant is very pleasant, clean, and comfortable, but the food is the star. We had the filet mignon kebob dinner and the chicken sandwich–grilled marinated chicken wrapped in fresh baked Afghan bread with salad veggies and a tangy aoli. The sandwich was delicious, not to mention huge, and the filet mignon was tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The sides–we chose spinach and fries–were top-notch. Overall, this place is a winner. We’ll be back, but our next stop: America’s Best Wings.
