New Year’s Eve at JVs – Featuring Wicked Jezabel, JV’s Restaurant, 6666 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church. Doors open at 6 p.m. Show starts at 9. $50. Buy tickets here.
NYE 80s Glow Party – Jammin Java, 227 Maple Ave. E., Vienna, 8 p.m. $30. Prizes for best 80s outfits and “name that tune contest.” $35, early admission $30. Order tickets in advance.
New Year’s Eve Bash – B-Side, 8298 Glass Alley, Mosaic District, 9 p.m.-1 a.m. $100 ($75 for designated driver), includes drinks and food.

First Night, City of Alexandria – Family-friendly New Year’s entertainment, various locations in Old Town, Dec. 31, noon-midnight. Dozens of music, dance, comedy, and kids’ performances.
The annual Watch Night celebration on New Year’s Eve in Falls Church has been canceled due to Covid.

First Hike Fairfax New Year’s Day Photo Contest – Submit photos taken Jan. 1-2 on any Fairfax County Park Authority trail. Prizes of up $100 will be awarded in several categories.
