New York Pizza Factory expanding

New York Pizza, on the left, is taking over the middle store.

New York Pizza Factory, at 7258 Columbia Pike in Annandale,
is taking over the empty storefront next door, probably after the first of the year. The larger space will provide enough room for eat-in dining. Currently, the pizza shop has only
carryout and delivery service.

The other empty spot in the renovated building is available
for lease. Earlier plans for a Middle Eastern restaurant in that space fell
through. The former occupant on that property, the Sunset Grille, closed in
2012. When the old building was demolished, in 2013, New York Pizza Factory
stayed. The other tenant, American Rental, moved to Springfield.

New York Pizza offers a lot more than pizza – it’s got subs,
calzones, wings, rosemary chicken, gyros, pastas, salads, and more. Pizza
toppings include spinach, artichoke, BBQ chicken, crispy bacon, broccoli, and vegan
cheese, as well as the more common items.
