No ABC special promotions for the holidays

The ABC store on Little River Turnpike in Annandale.

Thanks to the COVID pandemic, Virginia ABC stores will not host their usual fall and holiday promotions this year. That includes Door Busters, Spirited Thursdays, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.

Virginia ABC CEO Travis Hill cites several reasons for the decision: The pandemic has caused distilled spirits suppliers to have inventory challenges, which means some products might be out of stock. One-day sales could lead to crowded stores, making it difficult to maintain social distancing.

In addition, Hill says, Virginia ABC is transitioning to a new data center and is halting short-term promotional sales until the new system is up and running.

“Before you chalk up our decision to forego these much-anticipated holiday savings events as another 2020 disappointment,” Hill says, “I encourage you to check out the multiple in-store and online savings opportunities we have planned on hundreds of products throughout the holidays.”

Customers can search for these items by selecting the “on sale” box on ABC’s product search page

  1. Vodka cures everything including COVID. If you have COVID, inject it first and then lay out in the sun, it will kill the COVID out of you.

  2. VA ABC CEO sounds like an un-intelegent person who tries to sell his liberal-condescending BS in disguise of "we care for your safety"

On the other hand, we do live in NoVA, the "New-California" of the east.
