Kids and adults can now learn how to swim at a brand-new swim school in the Willston Shopping Center owned by Olympic athlete Tom Dolan.
Dolan won a gold medal in the 400 individual medley at the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996 and a gold medal in the 400 individual medley and a silver medal in the 200 individual medley in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
He also won two gold medals at the World Championships, is a 14-time U.S. National Champion, is in the International Swimming Hall of Fame, and appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated and the Wheaties box.
The Tom Dolan Swim School, at 6112-1 Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners, serves babies, children, and adults in a pool with a 90-degree water temperature.
The swim instruction for the youngest children, beginning at 3 months, starts with water safety and water comfort. Lessons for older children and adults range from beginners to advanced, competitive swimmers.
Dolan, a resident of Falls Church, opened his first swim school in Dulles in 2012.
