Omni Financial moving to Custom Carpet site

Wonder what’s going on with the building under construction on the site of the former Custom Carpet shop in the center of Annandale?

The building’s new owner, Stephen Lee, the president of Omni Financial Corp., plans to move the company’s headquarters to the new building once the renovations are complete. The firm is currently based at 7010 Little River Turnpike. Omni, an independent insurance broker, also has offices in Yorktown, Va., and Rockville, Md.
Omni will occupy the back of the building (at 7301 Little River Turnpike next to Ravensworth Road), while the front half will be leased to some sort of retail operation. The original size and footprint of the structure will remain unchanged. The exterior will have a new, earthtone façade; the roof will be upgraded; the foundation will be reinforced; and the interior will be completely renovated.

  1. I hope some care is taken to have some good landscaping and the acorn streetlights, as this building is in a very prominent position in the center of Annandale.

  2. Kind of a waste of that great space. Thanks for letting us know what is going on there. I wonder everyday when I drive past whats going in. That is why I look at this blog regularly – useful real life stuff Thanks for posting and maintaining this site.
