Ossian Hall Park re-opening ceremony set for Nov. 20

A ribbon-cutting ceremony has been scheduled Nov. 20, at 2:30 p.m., to celebrate the reopening of Ossian Hall Park.

The 22-acre-park, at 7900 Heritage Drive in Annandale, next to Annandale High School, will have a new paved plaza area, two new playgrounds, a synthetic turf field, two multi-use courts, natural stone retaining walls, asphalt trails through a wooded area, new landscaping, a 120-space parking lot, and LED lighting fixtures. The park also includes the Fairfax County Park Authority ’s first underground low-impact design stormwater facility.

The $2.8 million renovations was funded by a 2008 park bond.

  1. This is a welcome change to the neighborhood near AHS. I hope it continues to improve. The kids really need some place safe to enjoy outdoor sports.
