Park Authority puts out survey on pickleball

Pickleball [Fairfax County Park Authority]

As pickleball is becoming increasingly popular, players are asking the Fairfax County Park Authority to provide more pickleball courts.

In response, the Park Authority is carrying out a feasibility study and has put out a survey to gauge the public’s interest in the sport. The online survey will be open through Jan. 24.

The study will determine where new pickleball courts can be located and where existing tennis courts can be converted to pickleball and will “develop siting criteria and design guidance to be considered when selecting and constructing pickleball amenities.”

  1. Put one in that wasteful and useless Baileys Interim Park on Columbia pike, and make it relevant. This was another bad Penny idea after she scared all the developers away.
