Pedestrian robbed near Heritage Mall in Annandale
A woman walking to the 7-Eleven at 7822 Rectory Lane, Annandale, was the victim of an armed robbery at 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 27. Two men approached her; one of them was armed with a handgun, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.
One suspect ripped the victim’s purse from her shoulder, searched her pockets, then fled on foot.
She was not injured. A police canine tracked the suspect to a local residence. Two men were positively identified and were taken into custody.
David Tykee-Hose Siggers, 18, of Manassas, was charged with robbery. Brandon Thomas Vieyra, 27, of Annandale, was charged with robbery and display of a firearm in commission of a felony.
No surprise here, garbage in garbage out. A dump is a dump no matter how you color it. We have become a magnet for all the trash, literally and figuratively.
Everything between 495-little river turnpike and Braddock needs cleaning up. Take out the trash
That is where the county decided to put section 8 housing.
This is also kind of where that proposed housing development is going, so not for lack of trying to "clean up the trash." There are a lot of nice neighborhoods in Ravens/Bristow too ya know.
So this was the reason for the helicopter and a full swat team early Saturday morning. I thought it was a drug bust or something.
I am EXTREMELY impressed that the cops were able to catch the bad guys. What are the odds.
I am impressed, too, and I'd like to add that I'm glad the woman is alright. Of course, she's probably one of those lower-echelon types herself, so I shouldn't care, should I?
