Pedestrian robbed near Heritage Mall in Annandale

A woman walking  to the 7-Eleven at 7822 Rectory Lane, Annandale, was the victim of an armed robbery at 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 27. Two men approached her; one of them was armed with a handgun, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

One suspect ripped the victim’s purse from her shoulder, searched her pockets, then fled on foot.
She was not injured. A police canine tracked the suspect to a local residence. Two men were positively identified and were taken into custody.

David Tykee-Hose Siggers, 18, of Manassas, was charged with robbery. Brandon Thomas Vieyra, 27, of Annandale, was charged with robbery and display of a firearm in commission of a felony.

  1. No surprise here, garbage in garbage out. A dump is a dump no matter how you color it. We have become a magnet for all the trash, literally and figuratively.

    1. This is also kind of where that proposed housing development is going, so not for lack of trying to "clean up the trash." There are a lot of nice neighborhoods in Ravens/Bristow too ya know.

  2. So this was the reason for the helicopter and a full swat team early Saturday morning. I thought it was a drug bust or something.

    1. I am impressed, too, and I'd like to add that I'm glad the woman is alright. Of course, she's probably one of those lower-echelon types herself, so I shouldn't care, should I?
