Peeping tom suspected arrested

Fairfax County Police arrested a suspected for a series of peeping tom incidents that have occurred since 2011. The suspect is Michael C. McCarter, 40, a fuel delivery truck driver who lives in Woodbridge, a news release from the Franconia Police District reports. He was arrested Oct. 25 and charged with peeping warrants.

Detectives believe he may be linked to over 200 cases in the Franconia District and approximately 50 each in the West Springfield and Sully Districts. The suspect allegedly picked random, lone women, ages 20s through 50s, and watched them in their homes while he committed a sexual act. The incidents took place between 1 and 4 a.m. at ground-level apartment windows. He was picked up following a tip from a citizen in the Kingstowne area.
