Pet grooming shop opens in Annandale
Bessie’s Pet Grooming opened Dec. 15 at 7139 Columbia Pike in Annandale. It’s in the building that formerly housed Heidi’s Nails.
The interior of the building has been totally redone. Bessie’s offers a full range of dog bathing and grooming services. The owner, Mi Ok Cho (Bessie), plans to hire a cat groomer.
A full-service groom includes a full bath, basic brush-out, haircut, ear cleaning, gland expression, sanitary trim, and nail clipping. The cost ranges from $65 for an extra small dog (up to 7 pounds) to $97 for a large dog (43 to 58 pounds). Lots of services are available a la carte, too.
Cho is a certified groomer who worked at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital in Annandale for nine years. Her family includes two Yorkies and two corgis.
Bessie’s Pet Grooming is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sundays. It’s closed on Mondays.
