Police arrest man for assaulting a child
Fairfax County Police arrested a 22-year-old man from Centreville for grabbing a girl at the Crystal Woods apartments in Lincolnia on Aug. 24.
Kevin Moran-Perez was taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with assault and possession of a schedule I or II drug. He is being held on no bond.

The assault happened in the 5000 block of Caryn Court shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 24. Moran-Perez approached a group of juveniles playing outside near an apartment building. He displayed a knife and grabbed a preteen by the hand.
She was able to break free and all three juveniles at the scene ran away. The juveniles were not injured.
