Police Dept. reports recent crimes

Here are the recent crimes in the Annandale/Mason District, as reported by the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police recovered a stolen auto shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads. The car, a 2010 Toyota Corolla, had been stolen from a nearby jurisdiction.

As the officer was coordinating a traffic stop, the driver, a 26-year-old man from Fredericksburg, parked the car and attempted to walk away. The man was arrested and charged with grand larceny.

The Smoke & Vape Shop at 5618 Columbia Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads was burglarized at 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 20. Two men forced entry into the business and took property.
