Police fear missing Annandale student is in danger
UPDATE: The missing team was found, is well, and is back with her family, FCPD announced Jan. 13.
Detectives from the Mason Police District are searching for a missing teen, Venus Romero Iraheta, 17, an Annandale High School student, whom they believe could be in danger.
Police have received anonymous information that Romero Iraheta, a resident of Alexandria, was involved with known gang members and that threats had reportedly been made against her.
Her mother reported her missing on Jan. 9 to the school resource officer at Annandale High School. He tried to contact her and was able to speak to her briefly but could not determine her whereabouts.
