Police report fatal shooting in Annandale

There was a fatal shooting in the early morning hours of June 29 at Fairmont Gardens in Annandale, the Fairfax County Police Department reported on X.

Two male victims sustained gunshot wounds in the 4100 block of Wadsworth Court. One victim died in the hospital; the other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

  1. 1. Being near Fairmont Gardens increases your risk given the number of crimes reported in or near the complex. Just look at the police reports. The complex has more troubles than it should, but there are much more risky areas. There are areas that regularly have more crime & violence incidents in or around Annandale.
    2. When “suspects fled the area” that increases everyone’s risk, as the people committing the crime / violence have moved into different area and/or have the potential to return.
    Hopefully the survivors and any witnesses cooperate with police, the police catch the suspects, and the Commonwealth Attorney actually prosecutes. I wouldn’t hold my breath for all of this to happen, especially the last part.

  2. It’s probably a business related incident. I once unwittingly drove through the parking lot looking at apartments and noticed that the lot was full of hard looking young men who were conducting their business is broad daylight.
