Police seek upskirting victims

Marshall

If you think you might be the victim of an upskirting incident, the Mason Police District wants to hear from you.

William Marshall, a 42-year-old Florida resident was caught filming up a woman’s skirt by a loss prevention officer at the Giant at 3480 S. Jefferson St. in Bailey’s Crossroads June 29.

An investigation by the Fairfax County Police Department revealed Marshall put his cell phone in a hand basket and covered it, leaving only the lens exposed. Marshall then placed the basket underneath the woman’s skirt, filming her illegally.

More than 1,000 images and videos were recovered from Marshall’s phone earlier this week. FCPD does not believe the illegal images have been shared or placed on the internet.

Marshall is facing an unlawful filming charge. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to be in criminal court on Sept. 26.

Police are seeking additional victims. If you think you might have been filmed by Marshall, call the Mason District Police Station, 703-256-8035.

  1. Is Mason District a magnet for the world's crap because we are the Section 8 capitol of Fairfax or are they waiting for a deluxe room in the new Penny Gross Homeless Shelter for men?

  2. You are right crime only happens in the Mason District, no where else in the county or the US. Are you that dumb. If you are not happy move.

    1. It doesnt have to be this way. The problem stems from poor judgement made by the county leadership. Connolly didnt push for Metro, Gross chases developers away or builds social services, and Bulova is on a space ship whirling around the county in a downward spiraling circle.
